Below are some of our notable cases to demonstrate our areas of expertise.

R v S Central Criminal Court

“Jihadi bride” case, 1 count of assisting another to commit terrorist acts contrary to s.5 of the Terrorism Act 2006. Allegation of assisting in the preparation of a terrorist act arose solely from internet communication.

R v A Central Criminal Court

Defendant charged with murder, S18 GBH and violent disorder on new joint enterprise basis, although Defendant stood trial alone. Defendant convicted of manslaughter.  

R v N Central Criminal Court

The defendant suffered from various mental health conditions and faced several charges of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm against several police officers. Issues in the case included fitness to plead, and possible trial of issue. Defendant was detained under the Mental Health Act. Pleas negotiated and defendant received a Hospital Order.  

R v F Guilford Crown Court

This case involved allegations of attempted murder, and serious assault against the defendant’s partner, in that it was alleged as part of the prosecution case that the defendant tried to drown the victim in the bath. Defendant was acquitted as a result of the victim refusing to give evidence at trial.

R v W – Isleworth Crown Court

A historic rape case dating back to 2003. Defendant faces three  counts of rape, five counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual activity with a child. The victim is now an adult and ABV Solicitors are heavily involved in advancing legal submissions and obtaining expert evidence.

R v Q – Isleworth Crown Court

This case is brought by a young victim who alleges she was sexually assaulted by a taxi driver. The case is wholly contested by the defendant who is a man of good character.

R v A – Isleworth Crown Court

This involves an allegation of rape of a male by another male in a hostel. The defendant wholly denies the allegations which involves forensic evidence and involved a complex issue regarding the defendant’s age at the time of the alleged offence.

R v J – Isleworth Crown Court

The defendant was charged with two counts of rape against a female. It was alleged that he broke into a female’s house and raped her in her bedroom. Case discontinued after significant pressure put on the Prosecution.

Operation Academy – Blackfriars Crown Court

Sophisticated investigation focused on skimming devices installed on TFL Ticket vending machines and other cash machines which were installed to obtain credit and debit card devices.
